MS DHONI : The Captain of 160 billion people (part 1)

MS Dhoni or Captain cool is arguably the most successful Captain for India. One of the best batsmen of the white ball cricket and the best keeper of modern time. He was born on 7th July 1981 at Ranchi. For the first 14-15 years, he suffered a lot and got himself the job of a ticket collector at Kharagpur district.

But everything changed when he got the chance to prove himself in a first-class final match and got 60 odd runs and some brilliant catches. The selector at first thought of his unorthodox keeping without any basics and his power hitting. But due to off form of the then keeper, Parthiv Patel MS Dhoni was selected and the rest is history

.MS Dhoni got his first match vs Bangladesh and was ran out very quickly but Sourav Ganguly the then Captain of India and Sachin Tendulkar the best batsmen in the world saw something in him and backed him up.  The MS dhoni show started from 2005 against Pakistan. With a promotion to number 3 he scored 148 and announced his arrival in the cricket.

That was the announcement of a new era for Indian cricket. A star with long hair who had a different thought and way of doing everything. For example, Akash Chopra his then-roommate once asked him to cut his long hairs as he thought people wouldn’t take him seriously and Dhoni just replied, “bhaiya shayeed mujhe dekhke sabka bal o ka style bhi aisa ho jayen.” and guess what let alone the worldwide fanbase even the Pakistani PM once asked him not to cut his hairs.MSD got changed after he got captaincy in 2007 and first thing he did is to win the 2007 T20 world cup with a young Indian team. He changed everything of the Indian cricket.

Then he won the 2011 World cup at Wandkedhe to become the first captain to win the world cup on home soil. In 2013 he got the champions trophy to make himself the most successful captain for India. He is the only captain to win all the trophy. The veteran keeper has also won IPL and champions league trophy for CSK.

The keeper is also called the best finisher and the quickest stumper ever. To prove this worthy he has the most number of stumping 123 making him the only keeper to got 100 or more stumpings. The Ranchi born has an average of 50+ in ODI and 39+ in test to prove his worth as a batsman.
