After the corona hit the the world and everything shut down cricket lovers thirst for a match was climbing up. And everyone was looking for IPL to fill up their thirst. At one point due to the heavy affecting rate of Corona in India BCCI thought of stopping the IPL this year. But as soon as UAE opened its gate for everyone everything changed drastically. And with Sourav Ganguly’s support the BCCI then moved the almost one and half month long tournament to UAE.
The curtain raiser was played between Mumbai Indians(MI) and Chennai Super Kings(CSK) on 19 th of September 2020 which was won by CSK. After the end of 1 month and 22 days cricketing battle finally we are here at Dubai for the final and title decider of this season which will be played between Mumbai Indian(MI) and Delhi Capitals(DC) which will be captained by Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer respectively.
MI is quite ahead with 15 wins from 27 encounter against DC which comes as a no shock as the power packed Mumbai line up with previously Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting,Lasith Malinga,Luke Ronkey,Mohammad Ashraful to present with Rohit Sharma,Quinton De Kock,Kieron Pollard, Ishan Kishan, The Pandya brothers, Trent Boult,Suryakumar Yadav and Bumrah can single handedly end a match in any day. One the other hand DC a young side full of energy and talent due to their inexperience lost a lot of the match. Though this year they have been on top of their form but a young team compared to a star packed MI line up is lagging behind today. Which can also be seen in the three encounter of the two teams in this year’s IPL where Mumbai comfortably winning all the matches Against DC.This will give a upper hand to the MI squad to boost up their moral.
Again the form of QDK, Kieron Pollard,Ishan Kishan,Surya Kumar Yadav and Pandya brothers combining with the bowling of Rahul Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult is frighting for DC. With top order not clicking well Delhi will rely on the shoulder of their captain Iyer, Rishabh Pant,Marcus Stoinis, Shemron Hetmyer to take care of the batting unit while depending on Kagiso Rabada, Ravi Ashwin, Anrich Nortje to fire up the bowling department.
But the batting depth of MI with Boult and Bumrah being top of their form destroying every batting lineup its risk free to say that Mumbai is clearly ahead of DC in today’s final.
Though DC will start the match as an underdog it will be folish to keep them out of play. The capitals have some very good players who just have to lit up in order to win today’s final
Cricket is a game of uncertainty. So never expect it will be an easy win for Mumbai. Watch the match and enjoy. As always Mumbai remains the contender for the cup but Delhi on the hunt to win their first trophy. So let the best wins..
